Why does the glass break on the candles sometimes?

A common causes of glass breaking is due to the heat from a candle flame. This can sometimes happen if a flame gets too close to the bottom. Protect the surface the candle is sitting on by placing it on a heat-resistant holder, also I don’t recommend that you ever leave your candles unattended or burning longer than 4 hours at a time.

    What Oils Do I Use?

For all bath bombs and face products, I exclusively use doTERRA essential oils—a brand I trust for their purity, potency, and rigorous testing. doTERRA oils are among the highest quality available and are safe for aromatic, topical, and (when labeled) internal use. For children and sensitive skin, I always recommend diluting with a carrier oil.
    Why doTERRA?
doTERRA essential oils are carefully tested for quality and effectiveness. They’re powerful enough to support healthy-looking skin, yet gentle enough for everyday use. When applied topically, these oils can help improve complexion, support skin tone, and provide soothing benefits—making them ideal for self-care routines and relaxing massages.
    How to Use:
-Always follow the label instructions and recommended dilution, especially for little ones and sensitive skin.
-For best results, use with a carrier oil (like coconut or jojoba oil) to maximize benefits and minimize sensitivity.

    Essential Oil Safety Guidelines

    1. Avoid applying oils to sensitive areas like the nose, ears, eyes, or broken skin. Avoid using “hot oils” on the face. *
    2. Always read labels and package instructions before using an essential oil for the first time.
    3. Use dilution to minimize skin sensitivity.
    4. Be aware of oils with sun sensitivity warnings.
    5. Practice safe storage—keep oils out of reach of children.
    6. Always supervise young children when applying essential oils.
    7. If you have specific health concerns, talk to a healthcare professional before trying essential oils.
*Hot oils or strong oils include Cassia oil, Cinnamon Bark oil, Clove oil, Oregano oil, Thyme oil, and others.

    Sensitive Areas to be Avoided

-Some facial areas, such as the skin around the eyes
    -Eyes and inner ears
-Broken, damaged, or otherwise injured skin

    Candle Care

    Before Burning

-Prior to burning your candle, trim the wick at least ¼ inch. This prevents uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
-Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
-Burn for 2-3 hours each time you light the candle. This will help the candle burn evenly and remember to trim wicks before each burn.

      While Burning

-Let your first burn reach all the way to the edge of the glass to create a "memory" for your wax (or else your wax won't ever burn to it's full potential)
-Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. If you are going to leave the room or go to bed, be sure to extinguish all candles first.
-Never touch or move a burning candle. Never move a candle container when the wax is liquified.
-Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For safety measures, stop burning a candle when there is ¼ inch of wax left in the vessel.
-If burning multiple candles, place each candle at least three inches apart from one another. This is to ensure they don’t melt one another or create their own drafts.
-Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Before re-lighting, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts.
-Use extra caution when burning candles during a power outage. Battery-powered lights like flashlights are much safer sources of light during a power failure.
-Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.
-Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place lit candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.

      When Extinguishing

-Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle, if available, as it’s the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.
-Do not use water to extinguish a candle, this can cause the hot wax to splatter and could break a glass container.
-Before leaving the room, make sure your candle is completely out and there is no glow coming from the wick ember.
-Do not touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
