FAQs

What kind of Wax do I use?

Golden Brands 464 and Golden Brands 454 Coconut Soy Wax

What are the coconut wax candle benefits?

    1. Incredible aesthetics:
    • Coconut wax candles are amazingly beautiful. The wax colors range from cream to pure white. Although you can, dying the wax to enhance aesthetics is not necessary.
    • You also don't have to worry about the smell of coconuts. The candle wax is entirely odorless. No trace of burning coconut whatsoever!
    2. Environmentally friendly:
    • Essentially, no candle flame will be entirely soot-free. However, in comparison to the soy and paraffin counterparts, coconut wax candles burn the cleanest. You can be assured of almost zero soot, thus maintaining the standards of your surfaces.
    • We derive coconut wax from the hydrogenation process. Hydrogenation involves the transformation of coconut oil into wax. Thus, these candles comprise of entirely organic and renewable material. They, therefore have a very minimal environmental impact. They guarantee sustainable ecological preservation. You can comfortably enjoy the beautiful scents without feeling guilty of harming the environment.

    3. Slow burning:

    • Coconut candle waxes are slow burning, with a superior scent throw. Their ability to hold fragrances is top-notch. They provide you a strongly scented candle whose great scent last.
    • Generally, standard wax candles burn up in just a couple of hours. However, your coconut wax candle will serve you for long burn hours. And you can relax knowing that you are getting more bang for your buck.
    4. Excellent adhesion:
    • These wax candles have the greatest ever jar adhesion. Unlike soy wax and beeswax candles, you don’t have to pre-heat your jar. Simply, place your candle in your jar at any temperature. And get to enjoy the sensual aroma.
    5. Sustainability:
    • As their name suggests, we derive coconut wax candles directly from the coconut plant. These candles have guaranteed sustainability since coconuts are easily renewable. Thus, they are more superior to soy wax candles. Our wax is 90% coconut wax which is then fortified with soy to create a nice creamy blend.
    6. Easy to use:
    • Coconut oil candles exhibit soft tops at any pouring temperature. You need no re-pour for smooth tops. Rest assured of zero messes while using these candles. This type of candle doesn’t have any frosting or bloom whatsoever.
    • Making coconut wax candles is so easy as the coconut wax melts fast and pours so easily. Also, the candles burn nicely with most wicks especially our wooden wicks.
    • If quality and ease of use are the core determiners for you when acquiring wax candles, then look no further. Coconut wax candles are it for you!
    • With their rich colors and fantastic aroma, coconut wax candles are undoubtedly worth it. Their longevity and clean burning are outstanding.

Why does the glass break on the candles sometimes?

A common causes of glass breaking is due to the heat from a candle flame. This can sometimes happen if a flame gets too close to the bottom. Protect the surface the candle is sitting on by placing it on a heat-resistant holder, also I don’t recommend that you ever leave your candles unattended or burning longer than 4 hours at a time.

    What Oils do I use?

For all Bath bomb and face products, I strictly use doTerra. They are an essential oil company I trust. These oils are one of the best tested, and able to use aromatically, topically, AND internally. Always suggested to use with a carrier oil for little ones.

Essential oils easily penetrate the skin for localized benefits, making topical (on the skin) application a great way to experience the benefits of essential oils. This is why doTERRA works to create potent essential oils that are powerful enough to promote healthy-looking skin, yet gentle enough to use on a daily basis.

When used topically, essential oils can improve complexion and skin tone. They can also be used as part of a soothing massage. Before topical application, be sure to follow all label recommendations and dilution instructions.

    Essential Oil Safety Guidelines

    1. Avoid applying oils to sensitive areas like the nose, ears, eyes, or broken skin. Avoid using “hot oils” on the face. *

    2. Always read labels and package instructions before using an essential oil for the first time.

    3. Use dilution to minimize skin sensitivity.

    4. Be aware of oils with sun sensitivity warnings.

    5. Practice safe storage—keep oils out of reach of children.

    6. Always supervise young children when applying essential oils.

    7. If you have specific health concerns, talk to a healthcare professional before trying essential oils.

*Hot oils or strong oils include Cassia oil, Cinnamon Bark oil, Clove oil, Oregano oil, Thyme oil, and others.

    Sensitive Areas to be Avoided

    • Some facial areas, such as the skin around the eyes

    • Eyes and inner ears

    • Broken, damaged, or otherwise injured skin

    Candle Care

    Before Burning

    • Prior to burning your candle, trim the wick at least ¼ inch. This prevents uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
    • Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
    • Burn for 2-3 hours each time you light the candle. This will help the candle burn evenly and remember to trim wicks before each burn.

      While Burning

      • Let your first burn reach all the way to the edge of the glass to create a "memory" for your wax (or else your wax won't ever burn to it's full potential)
      • Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. If you are going to leave the room or go to bed, be sure to extinguish all candles first.
      • Never touch or move a burning candle. Never move a candle container when the wax is liquified.
      • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For safety measures, stop burning a candle when there is ¼ inch of wax left in the vessel.
      • If burning multiple candles, place each candle at least three inches apart from one another. This is to ensure they don’t melt one another or create their own drafts.
      • Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Before re-lighting, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts.
      • Use extra caution when burning candles during a power outage. Battery-powered lights like flashlights are much safer sources of light during a power failure.
      • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.
      • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place lit candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.

      When Extinguishing

      • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle, if available, as it’s the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.
      • Do not use water to extinguish a candle, this can cause the hot wax to splatter and could break a glass container.
      • Before leaving the room, make sure your candle is completely out and there is no glow coming from the wick ember.
      • Do not touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
